Oh!Poppyseed™ - Regular Brinjal Biltong

About

Brinjals go back about 2,000 years in the recorded history of India, way before Woodstock but probably just as exciting when you think about all of the tantric…ahem, meditation those yogis got up to. There are around thirty Sanskrit names for the fruit in ancient Indian literature; yup, Brinjal has had more names than Prince and Puff Daddy combined! These worldly fruits are excellent sources of fiber, folate, potassium and manganese, as well as vitamins C, K, and B6. They’re also free radical scavengers which means that they have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects on that hot-bod of yours. They’ve been shown to improve heart function, prevent the invasion and spread of cancer cells, and improve overall brain function. Oh!Poppyseed’s™ Brinjal Biltong provides the perfect balance of flavor and texture to make your taste-buds zen-out and find bliss!

Different

I've never had Brinjal biltong before so this was a different experience for me. My first thought as that I immediately liked it, but then a bit after I found it to be a little to 'chewy'.

It may just be an acquired taste and something I need to get used too.

Hi Jo, Thanks for the feedback. We tried the less-chewy version before but found that it was too tough and resembled spiced twigs, which most people don't want to eat for some reason. We flipped that around, and will now work on finding the perfect middle ground. Thanks for the feedback. - Oh!Poppyseed

More please.

Very much like the texture of biltong that I remember (it's been around 6 years now since I've had animal-based). I'm willing to try it again.

Hi Slaine, Thanks for the feedback! We have improved our recipe recently, so hopefully when you next try it, it will stir some great memories (minus the animal-based part). - Oh!Poppyseed
